Gibellina 1968 – otto minuti dopo le tre. Giuseppe Iannello

The Studio Museo Francesco Messina presents the exhibition “Gibellina 1968 - otto minuti dopo le tre. Giuseppe Iannello”, with black and white photographs by Giuseppe Iannello depicting some old Gibellina archive images projected by the artist on Alberto Burri's "Grande Cretto" in order to revive the site and the people affected by the ferocious earthquake in 1968.
The interesting artistic project deepens issues related to memory and to the meaning of forgotten, abandoned places and their destiny, central topics also for the artist Domenico Fazzari, whose work is simultaneously exhibited in the spaces of the Museum.
The exhibition is accompanied by a critical text by Colin Pantall.
